Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn. Alright, alright, that's a complete lie, because I'm damned excited about artist Sam Smith's
Gone with the Wind AND
Citizen Kane posters. For those who don't know about the multi-talented Smith, here's the deal: he's drummed for Ben Folds (you can see him in the
"You Don't Know Me" music video), he's responsible for some of the coolest Criterion Collection packaging around (exhibit A:
World on a Wire,
House,
Modern Times,
Kuroneko, and
Solaris), he's created a ton of gig posters (his
Tim and Eric print is the standout for me), and, oh yeah, he's a total cinephile. Yeah, I'm jealous too. Check out the moody movie prints he made in cooperation with
Spoke Art for the
Castro Theatre's 90th anniversary below.
